Question : Hi, I've been having light brown shredded floating stools,i was asked by a doctor to get my ultrasound and stool tests done. The ultrasound report was normal but the stool test report stated that i have occasional occurrence of pus.I have been taking 800 mg rifagut(400 mg twice, though the doctor advised me to stop taking it after a couple of days) and i also have a fatty liver(taking medicines for fatty liver as well) as my SGOT and SGPT were high.My blood test(Complete Blood Count) reports was normal though.I also feel slight nausea on certain days when i eat certain food. The stools are rarely normal and almost everything i eat is difficult to digest.I also feel constipated during or after stools.
Brief Answer:
Possible IBS with enteritis.Need stool culture and sensitivity testing
Detailed Answer:
Hello, Sir.
I can understand your concern.
You possibly seem to have mixed features of Irritable bowel syndrome and enteritis.
It is important to stop Rifagut for a while and start specific antibiotics based on culture and sensitivity of stool .
Also, Normaxcin is known to cause constipation.
Fatty liver can be reversed with intake of daily dietary fiber and fruits like apple.
Regular physical exercise also helps a lot.
Please check with your physician if he orders specific antibiotics to clear infection.
Post your further queries if any,
Thank you.
