Question : Taking Effient following 3 stents......bowel movements have changed to more frequent with loose, "shredded" output and occasional diahrrea....also more low sugar incidents and occasional leg cramps....Effient literature doesn't mention these as side effects.....What else could cause these symptoms?

I am Dr.Muhammad Ahmad. I have read your question completely, i understand your concern and will try to help you in best way possible.

Your problem can be caused by change of medication, food habits or may be side effect of some.other medication you would have startes after stenting. I suppose you are talking about heart stenting.

I would like you to answer anfew of my questions for better understanding.

1) What are the other meds you are taking.
2) Any derrastic food changes?
3) Do you have blood pressure or Diabetes issues?
4) Took any measures for the diarrhea?
5) What did you use before this stenting this it control your sugar?
