What Causes Loss Of Taste On The Upper Part Of Tongue?

Question: I've recently lost the taste on the top of my tongue, about 3-4 days now, however do not remember any obvious actions that could cause this (burning, etc) a new symptom as of this morning is that the right side of my mouth (the lips) seem to be slightly numb
when brushing my teeth this morning, I was "swishing" and noticed that water would come out of the right side of my mouth, the best way I can describe this is that if you close your mouth and blow as hard as you can while maintaining a closed mouth, the right side of my mouth would allow air to escape. I cannot lips from allowing air to escape

There is no facial deviation, speech change, swallowing difficulty, fever, ear discharge or earache
Would there be any immediate concern to seek medical attention? I typically let things run its course unless there is cause for concern.
What is it that the B12 will do?
Thank You
