What Causes Lower Right Abdominal Pain During Ovulation?

Question: Hi,
Ive had right sided lower pain for the past week. It feels like a cramp and then it goes down my leg. It also can be sharp, dull. It comes and goes. It is the same time i should be ovulating as my last period began on the 29th. I get this type every few months. I was worked up about a year ago and they said i didnt have any cysts however the person doing the sonogram said she saw a functinonal cyst however it wasnt mentioned in the radiology report. Ive also had an mri of the lower back and have a herniated disk so my doctor feels that could be contributing. Is that possible? Thank you

Brief Answer:
Ovulatory pain is common and pain killers should be taken
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concern.
The pain around ovulation is called as ovulatory pain.
It can happen in some females.
If the lumbar spine disc herniation is not much, then you can take pain killers during your ovulation days.
Get an ultrasound abdomen and xray KUB for investigating renal stones.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
