Question: My name is XXXX, In the last 3-4 months my doctor has put me on a low carb lifestyle change. Ive done well so far with a loss of 50 pounds. I continue this under my doctors supervision. I have this strange thing that keeps happening. I have the urge to sneeze and when this happens Im busy< hot and end up feeling nauseated and sweat. if I sneeze and cool off it goes away quickly, but if I fail to sneeze it can last hours and have vomited. April 4 when I started tis lifestyle change I had blood work done and my cholesterol was high and showed I was boarder diabetic and thyroid was abnormal. My doctor told me that with weight lossit will probably improve a great deal. I have another blood test scheduled in August to check for this.

Brief Answer:
Endocrine

Detailed Answer:
I follow what you are saying. Indeed it is a bit unusual. What we need to know what were your exact thyroid and diabetes levels. Kindky see if it is possible to retrieve your previous records to see if a TSH blood test result is available. Similarly look for HbA1c or fasting glucose levels and we will get a fair idea as to whether you have diabetes or not. Moreover we need to check them currently to see if they have changed now ie either progressed or improved. I understand you are scheduled for labs next month and that is fine as these are not typically medical emergencies unless glucoses persistently exceed 250, or the TSH is severely abnormal. Now neither of these two conditions is associated with the sneezing problem you are experiencing.

Detailed Answer:
The TSH is mildly elevated. There is a chance it may completely normalize the next time you test for it again.

I have noted the other lab results as well.

None of these are connected with the sneezing problem.

It might be worthwhile to see an ENT doctor to rule out a condition called 'Allergic RhinoSinusitis' which essentially is an allergic condition of the nose and throat/sinuses that can cause sneezing spells
