Brief Answer:
Pregnancy can be there

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
If the I pill was taken within72 hours of unprotected intercourse, then the pregnancy is prevented in 95-98% cases.
However, failure of I pill can occur in rest 2-5 % cases.
Fever is not a symptom of pregnancy, however nausea and weakness are.
I will suggest her to get a urine pregnancy test done, if negative then she should consult a physician for these complains as these can be due to general viral infection.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

Wishing you good health.

Hi. Thanks for the response. I would like to further add that she had the feeling of nausea and high fever for just one day. Due to the weakness she also puked once the next day. Now she is feeling much better with only a little bit of weakness. Also she is having the sort of cramps she has 3-4 days before her periods starts. Her last period started on 6th or 7th of December and went on for 4 days. They haven't started yet but she has a feeling they will start soon. But she has very irregular period cycle ranging from twice in one month to once in one and a half months. Would you call this a sign of pregnancy? Also its been 2 weeks since the intercourse, so is there a way to still avoid the pregnancy with the help of medicines?

Please furnish some information

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
Chances of pregnancy are low if emergency contraceptive pill are taken within 72 hours.
Please tell when she took I pill and whether she had withdrawal bleeding after taking I pill.

Hello Dr XXXXXXX

She took the pill around the 68th hour. Also, she did not experience any withdrawal bleeding. As far as her medical history goes, she was on contraceptives for about 7-8 months last year as part of some medical treatment. At that time also, she never experienced withdrawal bleeding as far as she remembers.

Please let me know if any other information is required.

Thanks

Brief Answer:
Dubious efficacy of emergency contraceptive pill

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
If she has not had any withdrawal bleeding after I pill, then efficacy of the pill in preventing the pregnancy is dubious.
I will suggest her to wait for the periods, if delayed then she should get a pregnancy test to confirm.
There is no way to prevent the pregnancy 2 weeks after unprotected intercourse.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
