What Causes One-sided Dark Discoloration Of Scrotum In Child?

Question: Hello, while changing my son tonight i noticed that on one side of his scrotum it was abit darker. Not the whole thing, but it was almost bruise like. No pain or fever or anything. Hes 5 months old.

what would be causing it? i looked at it agin and its more red then dark
