Question : 2nd request I am a type 2 diabetic and have a discoloration of a fingernail at the cuticle what causes this no pain
Brief Answer:
Fungal infection or trauma
Detailed Answer:
It could be due to fungal infection of the nail. Please show it to your primary care physician at your appointment tomorrow.
Sometimes it can occur as a consequence of an injury with resultant bleeding under the nail. During the healing process, various color changes may be seen.
There are other possible causes too but this will require a thorough physical examination and tests
