Are these symptoms of Mumps. I have already got infection 3 years back.

Brief Answer:
Mumps-?recurrent

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.

Mumps is presumed to confer permanent immunity. In general, natural infection confers lifelong protection against the virus, but recurrent mumps attacks have been reported.
Mumps can be associated with orchitis (as you described testicular pain on one side).
Usually mumps parotitis resolves within a week and rarely submaxillary and sublingual glands are also involved (a little bit swelling below chin).

Mumps can be confirmed if there is diagnostic rise in mumps Virus antibody (a significant increase in IgG titer in paired acute- and convalescent-phase sera) or RNA or viral antigen detection .

Pain after urination is related to lower urinary tract infection and is unlikely to be associated with mumps, if any.
Is it possible to upload photo showing the side of the face, just to confirm obliteration of the space between the earlobe and the angle of the mandible suggestive of parotid gland enlargement.

Brief Answer:
Mumps with orchitis

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
You had fullness in the sub-mandibular and pre-auricular areas i.e ear-gland axis indicating enlargement of the underlying parotid and sub-mandibular glands . Along with orchitis, clinically it is a case of mumps. However I am unable to make out any pre-sternal edema i.e. site of chest pain.
Mumps is generally a benign, self-resolving illness.Treatment is symptomatic.
Testicular pain may be minimized by the local application of cold compresses and gentle support for the scrotum.

Hi Sir,

I went GP and he confirmed Paratotis + orchitis and I am on medication for last 6 days.

he also asked me to do AEC on seventh day and come for review.

Current situation is
Testicle pain went away
Pain behind ear almost went away

But still there is problem in throat.

Since last night I fear If I had got throat cancer.

Brief Answer:
Mumps

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
Throat pain does not mean you have throat cancer.
You are unnecessarily worried about some non-existent illness.
It seems you have recovered from mumps. Your nonspecific respiratory symptoms(throat pain) will also eventually subside.
