What Causes Pain In Testicles And Leg?

default
Posted on Sat, 9 May 2015
Question: I had pain in my testicles and leg. I showed a urologist who did a color doppler which showed nothing . The doctor prescribed some medicine and said it will go away slowly. After almost 2 years the pain in testicles continue and there is lot of pain in legs . The pain is mainly in feet and knees wherein I feel that someone is pressing the nerves. I feel like there is some pain in the veins itself in both the legs. I even had a full body MRI scan and full body checkup done which showed nothing. I am having burning and tingling pain in all my legs. Similar pain I have sometimes in my left palm which has originated recently.

Detailed Answer:
HI Young man.
Thanks for your query.
I had a chance to see your previous queries and the answers, a sort of review for me to study your case very well.

To recapitulate: Male 28 - pain in testicles and legs - Consulted Urologist - color doppler normal - 2 years and pain continues in the testes in spite of medicines - now in legs too - feet and knees wherein feels like pressing on the nerves - Full body MRI and full body check-up - burning and tingling pain in legs (and left palm recently) - tried Miofree and Carbamazepine.
You have described pain in legs like;
- Mainly in the feet and knees and knees
- Wherein you feel that someone is pressing on the nerves
- you feel like there is pain in the veins itself in both the legs.
- Burning and tingling pain in all your legs.

These are the explanations you have given for the pains in the lower limbs along with pain in the testicles and left palm.

May I please know few details:
-Blood sugar status, preferably Oral Glucose tolerance an HbA1c
-Any use of Tobacco products?
-Color doppler of the Lower limbs?
-Nature of your job / business, sitting hours? / AC all the time ?
-Thyroid function tests?
-Any affection of the nervous system in the past due to viruses like GB syndrome / viral encephalitis / Patches of days where you are asymptomatic and some patches where the symptoms are enhanced due to to a certain cause that you have noticed.
-Is the strength in the lower limbs normal and same on both the sides or unequal? You must have gone through Neurologist's examination.
- Any other symptoms or incidence that you feel s relevant or even irrelevant to the present problems.

-Are you married? if yes, children?
-Please give details of the pains you have in the testicles - the character, enhancing or reducing factors, referred pain to near the umbilicus and so on.

I am sorry for the long list, a part of the questionare, the answers to these will help in finding or ruling out the causes.

All these thing are asked in consideration of the probable causes to be found out. Once the causes are found, treatment is specific and goal-oriented. Till now you have got a carpet-therapy, meaning as per the symptoms.

Waiting for your feedback, so that we can continue on and find the probable causes.

Please feel free to ask any relevant queries and if you feel that there is a gap-of-communication.

-Thyroid function tests? Test carried out report normal.
-Any affection of the nervous system in the past due to viruses like GB syndrome / viral encephalitis / Patches of days where you are asymptomatic and some patches where the symptoms are enhanced due to to a certain cause that you have noticed. No such test done. Had an episode of seizure disorder in 2010. Was admitted in Fortis XXXXXXX All tests done but doctor said all reports are normal and nothing to worry about.
-Is the strength in the lower limbs normal and same on both the sides or unequal? You must have gone through Neurologist's examination. Strength same on both sides.
- Any other symptoms or incidence that you feel s relevant or even irrelevant to the present problems. Pain is there in legs from groin area till feet. It is very irregular and there is no activity which increases the pain. It feels like someone is pulling the nerve down and sometimes it is burning sensation.

-Please give details of the pains you have in the testicles - the character, enhancing or reducing factors, referred pain to near the umbilicus and so on. Brief Answer:
Second opinion of a XXXXXXX Neurologist.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your feedback, fast and swift.

Young man- sitting job as manager Legal in Asian pains - has a seizure disorder in 2010 - Fortis XXXXXXX - related tests said to be normal - Pain in the legs from groin area till feet - irregular- no activity known to increase the pain - feeling that the nerve is pulling and sometimes it is burning sensation.

Pain in the testis mainly near groin - and is a pressure like pain. Urologist rules out any problem in the testicles.

**
With the history of Seizure in 2010 and leg pains which can not be fit into a particular syndrome, I would think about the nervous system as the main cause. This can be affection of the central nervous system or spinal level problem causing referred pains in the lower limbs.

** One more review as a second opinion of another senior-most Neurologist in XXXXXXX with review of the investigations is needed so by him is most welcome.
If there is a problem, there has to be a cause, hence go for a second opinion and battery of investigations if needed by your Specialist.

What medicines should I take in this scenario. What kind of further tests would be required to carry out. I have till date done the following tests:
1. Full body checkup, Test of Vitamin D3 and B12.
2. MRI of full body including lower party of my body to see if nerve is getting pressed.
3. X Ray of my Lower body.
4. Test for diabetes, arthritis and thyroid.
5. Test for all known Sexually Transmitted Infection.
All reports were normal.

Please suggest any good neurologist in XXXXXXX

Is there any medicine which I can take right now.

All the reports being normal make me think of the stress and/or anxiety or overwork being a contributory factors.
