What Causes Pain In The Mid Back Area?

Question: I got pain on my right mid back. Is it muscle or bones(ribs)?
And how do I treat it?

pain can be due to muscle spasm.
analgesic and muscle relaxant can be started consulting your doctor.
Physiotherapy like ultrasound and Tens may give you relief.
Another common possibility can be spinal disc bulge leading to pain.
clinical examination and further investigation like MRI spine will help in diagnosis.
MRI will rule out any other associated abnormality.

Took muscle relaxant(Methocarbamol) last night and the pain ease off. I do have tight muscle back there. Do I have muscle problems?
