What Causes Pain In The Neck?

Question: Hi, my friend had a sore neck. I gave him a massage without knowing he had an RFA ablation a year ago. He told me later. Now he is in a lot of pain and any position is impossible to get comfortable. What should we do?

Dear Sir

As your friend is in pain , I would suggest not the change any posture abruptly.

Following would be suggestion

1. Make him lie down on firm mattress

2. Local Application of Diclofenac Gel will be helpful to relive pain

3. Oral analgesic like Ibuprofen along with skeletal muscle relaxant like Chlorzoxazone will be helpful

4. Hot water fomentation: either by cloth soaked in hot water or hot water bag applied intermittently will help relive pain and associated spasm

Following measures will definitely be helpful . if the symptoms worsen then kindly contact your Primary care physician .
