What Causes Pain Under Left Ribcage With Diarrhea When Suffering From IBS?
Question: I have IBS D but recently I have bad cramps, dull ache under left ribcage and today, yellow diareah before regular diareah. Is this serious?

See its not like that a person who is suffering from IBS-DP can't have infective diarrhea like other people have
Your description seems to be of infective diarrhea.
Don't worry there is nothing serious.
In such situations I advise following to my patients:
1. To take a combination antibiotic containing Ciprofloxacin and Ornidazole for 3 days
2. To drink plenty of fluids like ORS if diarrhea is severe.
3. To continue with the IBS medications.
4. If pain is severe start on Mebeverine in case you are not taking it for IBS.
This would improve within 3 days.

The initial diareah was yellow, followed by the usual brown watery diareah.
