What Causes Pelvic Pain When Having History Of Bladder Sling Placement?

default
Posted on Fri, 21 Oct 2016
Question: I had bladder sling surgery in 2011. Now I am having recurrent pelvic pain like needles into my bladder. I have no symptoms of bladder infection, or pain or burning with urination. I will see my urologist next week. If I have to have the sling removed, how involved is the surgery?

Brief Answer:
It is ot a major surgery

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for query .

You have undergone surgery of sling placement for stress incontinence in 2011 and now facing problem of pelvic pain .

In view of you not having any urinary symptoms it should be managed with anti inflammatory drugs like Diclofenac twice daily for couple of weeks .

However if your urologist on clinical examination feels the sling to be removed the surgery can be done as a day care procedure .It is not a major surgery .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions , I shall be happy to help you .
Thanks and Regards.
