Question : Hi Doctor, i had fever due to cold 2 weeks ago. Cold and repeated cough still continues even now. Phlem is red or orange color sometimes. What kind of test should i take ? I am not taking any medication for the past 1 week

Thanks for the query.

I have read your query , reviewed your medications and understand your concern.

As per your clinical history it appears that you are most probably having post nasal discharge due cold causing cough .

If I were your treating Doctor for this case , I would advice you
Steam Inhalation twice daily,
Saline nasal rinse twice daily ,
Salt water gargles twice daily &
combination of Antihistaminic levocetirizine + Montelukast at night like Tab Romilast L10 or Montek Lc till cold & cough subside.

You will get relief .

Blood investigation needed complete blood count (CBC) & absolute eosinophil count(AEC) .

You will need to see your doctor to get a prescription.
