What Causes Persistent Dry Cough, Nausea, Dizziness And Right-sided Back Pain?

default
Posted on Tue, 26 Apr 2016
Question: My symptoms include dry cough for several days, nausea, dizziness, and building for several weeks an area of pain on the right side of my back which could be unrelated. My chiropractor claims it is related to my spine...? I have been drinking lots f water because in AZ I do get dehydrated and that has seemed to help the color of my urine which has been dark yellow from time t time this week. Better color when I drink lots of water. Bronchitis has been going around along with flu. Also have low fever today and yesterday. Pain in back is worse today.

Brief Answer:
Supportive care only with some advil

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking
I read your question and i understand your concern. Dry cough, nausea and dizziness can correlate with the recent flu you had and is just a sequelae and needs supportive care with fluids and warm comforting beverages and salt water gargles and humidifiers. Pain in the back coul d be related to your spine area and should be managed with some advil and some rest and if the pain persists, getting evaluated with some workup like radiographs or MR scans of the spine.

Dark color of urine may indicate dehydration and in turn explain dizziness again as well as nausea. Solution is simple, staying hydrated and taking plenty of fluids minimum of 2 to 3 litres in a day.

I hope it helps. take good care of yourself and don't forget to close the discussion please.

Regards
Khan
