What Causes Persistent Fatigue?

default
Posted on Wed, 25 Jan 2017
Question: I'm constantly fatigued during the day after a good nights sleep.

I requested a medicine to keep me awake during the day. She said no to medicine. I do have mild sleep apnea. Had it for 5 years. Tried the mask, but I'm claustraphobic. Am sleeping better with a mouth guard.

Brief Answer:
Modafinil should be given a try

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

Presence of extreme fatigue during daytime after good night sleep indicates there is substantial sleep apnea rather than mild sleep apnea.

In my experience I get good results with use of modafinil early in the morning for such situations.

I understand that your doctor refused for madafinil but it should never be done when there is significant impairment and limitation of activities due to extreme fatigue.

I hope this helps you.
