Question : Hi, I'm female ,33. I hope you can help as I'm extremely worried! *About 5weeks ago I began feeling nauseous after meals, it would happen immediately or within an hour of eating. This has continued but now it also happens with car travel and at times it seems to be completely random, I can be just sitting down and it'll just start for no reason.
*about 3 weeks ago in addition to the nausea I noticed I began having hot flashes, quite randomly again sometimes at the same time as the nausea sometimes on its own and it has continued.
*within the last 2 weeks I have noticed at times my knee joint will start aching, sometimes it will be my ankle that starts aching, even my elbow sometimes.
I also seem to belch more frequently than I used to, but I can consciously feel myself swallowing more air when I eat or drink.
I have been to my GP who suggested indigestion may be the reason for the nausea and belching but after several medications for this it proves to have had no affect on my symptoms. I am a huge worrier and suffer from health anxiety. I'm at a loss to know what to do. I had blood tests about 5 months ago, which came back normal. Please can you offer some insight as I'm very panicky and I'm terrified! Whhat are the possibilities please? Thanks

Brief Answer:
an Endoscopy will help.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing your query.
After reading your post, it seems that you might be having gastritis.
An Endoscopy will be helpful.
I would advise that you should take an antacid like Omeprazole 40mg once a day before meals along with Domperidone 30mg.
Following precautions will be helpful :-
1.Avoid spicy and oily foods.
2.Avoid being empty stomach for long periods.
3.Avoid mental and emotional stress.
4.Avoid smoking and alcohol, if any.
5.Avoid gas producing foods like peas, cabbage, legumes, etc.
6.Avoid talking while eating and avoid eating fast.
7.Drink lots of water daily.
Further medical management can be planned according to the reports of the Endoscopy. If the symptoms persists, get yourself clinically examined by a Gastroentologist.
I hope this is helpful to you. If you have any further query, I will be happy to help.
Regards. Thanks.
