What Causes Persistent Pain In Hips While Walking?

Please advise.
Can be due to osteoarthritis.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
A persistent pain in both the hip joints that you have can be due to arthritis- a joint inflammation due to osteoarthritic changes, muscle weakness and fatigue, low levels of vitamin D3, etc.
For proper diagnosis, some of the blood tests are advisable like-
1. Serum calcium and vitamin D3 levels.
2. Serum Uric acid levels.
3. RA factor
4. ESR and CRP
5. Serum Creatinine
6. X-ray of affected joints.
You need a thorough clinical examination followed by investigations under the guidance of an orthopedician.
Till then for symptomatic relief, you can take over the counter analgesics, do hot fomentation and apply local analgesic gel on the affected areas.
I hope this answers your query.

Just wanted to know, will Osteoarthritis set in so early?
The vitamin D3 when tested earlier was low so have taken the 12 week course of medicines.
It can be early stage.
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
This can be due to early stage of osteoarthritis- decrease in joint lubricants can cause this pain. Do get the Vitamin D 3 levels tested again to find out if there has been an improvement or not.
Hope my answer is helpful.
