Question : Last week two pimple like bumps appeared on my right ankle. The itch was almost unbearable. After some time, it went away. Then, the same thing appeared on my left ankle. In both cases, there was noticeable swelling. The itch is so bad that I applied ice to relieve it. I am type 2 diabetic, taking medication.

I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to fungal infection or allergy. Avoid irritating agents on skin. Use hypo allergic soaps or wash with saline or warm water. Also makesure that your blood sugar is well controlled. Better to run blood routine examination also to rule out any signs of infection.

I would suggest using creams containing anti fungal, anti bacterial and corticosteroid for such condition. Creams like panderm plus ( ofloxacin, ornidazole, terbinafine and clobetasol) will be helpful in such case. Antihistamines like cetrizine can be taken for relief from itching.

What bothers me about this is how it began on my right ankle, went away, then began in exactly the same way, with the same bumps in the same location a week later on the left ankle. Does that pafrt of the discussion have any effect on the discussion n?
