Brief Answer:
Likely to be due to allergen

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Dear Ms

Recurrent cold and upper respiratory symptoms could be due to following reasons

1. Anatomical problem in the nose Like deviated nasal septum: The septum which separates the nasal cavity is not always in midline. This could result in recurrent nasal symptoms

2. Allergy: Allergy to day to day allergens like dust and mites could be cause of symptoms

3. Decreased Immunity and Vitamin C deficiency

I would suggest you the following

1. thorough evaluation from ENT surgeon

2. Steam Inhalation preferably using electronic steamer : Made it a practise to carry it out twice a day , 2nd one just before going to bed

3. Warm saline gargling: To a glass of lukewarm water add 2 spoons of common table salt , gargle the throat with it twice a day

4. Oral Vitamin supplements and food containing vitamin c like citrus fruits will be helpful

5. Antihistamine and mast cell stabilisers like Montelukast in consultation with Physician will be helpful

6. Avoid dust and allergen

Do get back to me if you need any further assistance , will be glad to assist you

Take Care

Best regards
Dr Shobha
