Question : I have pain along the top of my left foot. It follows the bone from my big toe to ankle. There is no swelling but there is a slight redness. I have not had any recent injuries. It just suddenly appeared about a 10 days ago. I did have a full knee replacement on my left knee in 2015 and I wondered if somehow I have put to much pressure on that side. My knee is good.

Brief Answer:
Can be gout or arthritis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The pain on the top of the foot and toe can be due to gout- raised levels of uric acid or related to a joint inflammation. This is not likely to be related to knee replacement or an increased pressure on that side.
You can start with a hot compress and a mild pain killer and see if it improves. In case the pain increases or is persistent then do consult an orthopedician for an examination and a blood test to find out the cause.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Wishing you good health.
