Question : my wife has redness and swelling in the skin around thethroat area it looks a lot like a turkey gizzard 3 days

This might actually be a local area of infection. I recommend that you have her see her primary care doctor for a physical exam. Sometimes an ultrasound might be done to make sure there is nothing other than a local infection going on.

If an infection he suspected a course of antibiotics might help to slowly improve the symptoms over time.
