Question : Doctor i have this redness in my chest area and around shoulders. Worried if they are HIV rashes. Please can you help with the diagnosis?

I would like to know few additional things.
1 since when you have this rash
2 Do you have any other symptoms like pain or fever.
HIV can present in any way so not possible to say only with rash.
Do you have history of exposure.?

This is been like this for quiet a while doctor may be a month or so. No fever or pain. No I didn't have any exposure to hiv.

It is appearing like pityriasis roseae.
A non specific allergic reaction.
Please apply a steroid cream.
I usually advice ointment fluticasone and it gives good results.
You can give it a try.
