Detailed Answer:
hello and thanks for sending the question.

This might not be any type of sexually transmitted infection. It could be a minor bacterial infection. I would recommend observation for the time being. I would also advice you to refrain from vigorous sexual activity or masturbation as this might cause irritation of the area in question.

As long as you have not had any risk for exposure to sexually transmitted infection then it seems very unlikely in this case.

Try some warm soaks in the bathtub for 15 to 20 minutes for upto three times per day or some warm compresses. This might help decreasing inflammation and gradual healing.

Thanks again for sending your question.

Sincerely,

hello and thank you for the additional information.

Again I would give this a few days to see if it's fully resolved on its own. It may be just inflammatory in nature. If you continue to have symptoms I would recommend that you obtain comprehensive screening for sexually transmitted infections but your primary care doctor.

The fact that the area disappeared me reflect that this was more likely inflammatory and not infectious. It would still be reasonable to obtain regular screening testing through your primary care doctor to be 100% sure.
