Question : Without any previous symptoms, I started with pain in the right groin area. Previous to that, still on the right side, i was experiencing pain in the right thigh above the knee. That has since past, however, this groin pain came on suddenly and is moderately painful. What could possibly be going on and should I go to the nearest emergency room.

Brief answer....you must go to emergency
Detailed answer...
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and understand your concern.
There could be various causes for such type of abrupt onset of pain in right groin area.
Posiblities include stone in kidney or ureter, acute appendicitis etc.
You require to be examined and then investigated by doing relevant blood test, urine test, ultrasound abdomen and a CT abdomen ,if need arises.
So please go to ER.
I hope it helps, however you are most welcome to revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks
