What Causes Right Upper Abdominal Pain?

Question : good evening. doctors, i want to ask if why i am continue experiencing right upper quadrant pain in my abdomen...ive done my ultrasound of whole abdomen and series of lab test and thank God everything is normal...all results were normal..but, sometimes i stll have this discomfort....sometimes in my right side and even in the abdomen...and sometimes when i able ta passed flatus, i felt relieved...it's not that painful but theres discomfort that can alter my work. thank you

Read your history and understood the problems.

To recapitulate: 34 /Female - right upper abdomen pain - related reports normal - relief with flatus - discomfort that alter work....

With this history I can understand that you may have a problem with the that part of the Colon lying in the right side of the abdomen. It may be due to some infections like typhoid, etc.

I would advise you the following:
Colonoscopy
CT scan of the abdomen after preparation.
Blood: Sugar, CEA ..

I hope these tests will help us to get the exact diagnosis.
If all the tests are normal , one may think about IBS - Irritable Bowel Syndrome too, related to the anxiety and the stress, that now everyone has.

Please get these done under the guidance of a Surgical or Medical Gastroenterologist

thanks doc..i never experience typhoid...what other infections will caused this discomfort? the radiologist once said that it is because of some sticky stools that formed in my intestines...could it be true? thankd you

I do not mean to say a specific problem- I mean infections like intestinal infection of the small and / or large intestine.
The opinion of the Radiologist of sticky stools may be right, which again indicate a reason for the symptoms you have.

Please get the investigations done and get a proper diagnosis so that proper treatment can be instituted.
