Question : My husband has a terrible roughness at the top of his butt crack. If feels like alligator skin and is very painful. What can he do?

I am Dr. Kakkar(dermatologist). I have gone through your query and I have noted your concern.

Perhaps he has Lichen sclerosis chronicus (LSC) which presents as s dry, scaly, hyperkeratotic and hyperpigmented, thickened skin/ plaque. It is itchy and extreme scratching may lead to pain.
