Question : I keep having a different type if headache. I feel a lot of pressure in my head and sometimes the pain feels like my head is just going to crack open. what could this be?

Tension type headache.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
Your headache seems to be Tension type headache which presents with the sane description as of yours. Classically it presents with band like sensation over the head and disturbed sleepiness.
In such scenario I would advice you to see your doctor who would examine your blood pressure and fundus of the eye and if found normal would start you on treatment for tension type headache.
The treatment is mainly life style modification with meditation.
In cases where the pain is severe we treat with drugs like Escitalopram and Amitryptilline.
