Question : hi... taking macrodantin and have come up work severe hives /rash... have been taking for 3 days.

Hi and welcome. This is probably allergic reaction to nitrofurantoin which is not uncommon. You should consult your doctor about stopping taking it and switching to another antibiotic such as ciprofloxacin or tetracycline which can also be used for uroinfection. If you started to take some other antibiotics then these could also be potential alergenes.
