Brief Answer:
Yes it can involve multiple joints

Detailed Answer:
Hi! Welcome to HealthcareMagic! Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. We will try to help you in best way possible. First of all, it is sad to know what you had gone through.

Based on the history you have shared, yes it is possible to have multiple joints involvement in raised uric acid levels.

During acute attack it is advisable to use only to use non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs to reduce inflammation and swelling and uric acid excreting drugs are used once acute flair is settled like after few weeks of the attack. In severe cases oral or intra articular steroids may also be needed but rarely.

Meanwhile low uric acid diets and avoidance of red meat, pulses, rice or leafy vegetables is advised. Drinking more water will protect against formation of renal stones.

Close followup with an orthopedician is recommended. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Hope this has answered your query, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Regards.
