Question : 93 year old Dad has pain in his left chest on deep inhalation. I am an LPN but its been 35 years since my ICU days an am not sure about this He does not have any other symptoms I can get on questioning.

HI and thanks for this query

I have reviewed this information fully and it could be suggestive of a possible infection of the lungs. Given his past history and current state, I would have loved to have a chest X-ray to make sure all is okay with the lungs. Elderly can have atypical presentation of pneumonia with no fevers and little cough.
