Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking
I read your question and i understand your concern. Pain in right hypochondrium with history of NSAIDs use like meloxicam is very strong suspicion of NSAIDs induced gastritis. You will need proton pump inhibitors like nexium and mucosal protecting agents like sucralfate etc.
Take meloxicam with at least 8 to 12 ounces of water during meal or right after it. Once you started using antaicds, pain will subside. However other possibilities of gastric discomfort like gall bladder or pancreas inflammation or infection should be ruled out . Talk to a doctor and let them have a say.
Avoid spices, eat small frequent meals, no coffee, alcohol , beverages, sweets or chocolates etc as all those worsen the symptoms . That includes stimulants too. Prefer fiber rich diet and plenty of fluids. use peppermint and yogurt. Prefer vegetables. These diet and lifestyle modifications will help.
I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
