That should have read that i feel cold. i wake up in the middle of the night shiverimg but when i take my temperature it is normal. I came back from the Dominican Republic on Sunday January 18th and starting on the Tuesday evening I had really bad diarrhea and was home for three days in bed. On Saturday January 24th I went to the emergency room where i did stool samples and they said I am not dehydrated so just go home and drink lots of fluids. Well, I have been feeling like this since then and now on top of the shivering I have a headache and body aches. I feel like someone beat the crap out of me. Wednesday I went to see my doctor who in turn sent me for blood work and am waiting on results from the stool samples as well as the blood work.

Brief Answer:
better get to ER

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome back.
It seems you are suffering some sort of infection in the gut.
Feeling cold and shivering with low temperature are bad combination.
I will like you to collect the report at the earliest and review to ER of a physician at the earliest.
Take care.

I called telehealth which is a phone service where you can speak to a nurse and give your symptoms and get medical advice. My temperature went from 36.5 to 37.4 and they said to just try and keep warm and drink hot fluids. You said that I should go to the ER but I do not want to waste their time if there is nothing they can do for me. Also I am scared that they will tell me there is something seriously wrong with me. I do not know what to do.

Brief Answer:
attending ER os advisable

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome back.
You should surely do the efforts to keep yourself warm.
When you need health care, a visit to ER should be called utilization of time because life comes first in priority.
You should not be afraid of the ER. They are the technical people, why they will tell you are harbouring something sinister if you do not have one!
If so they could have done so during your last visit recently. Trust your health provider. They have lots of genuine problems to manage, so would not created artificial ones.
But if you delay to go to ER and there is something sinister then valuable time may get wasted and the results may not be the same.
I hope you will be proactive to attend your physician.
