What Causes Small Cuts On Penis After Having Intercourse?

Question : I have small cuts on the underside of my Penis. I am married and have not had sex outside of marriage. The cuts appear after sex and they appear to open during the act of sex as there is a burning on the exterior underside of my penis. After a couple days they heal over and appear to be fine but always reappear during sex. This all started in March. I am circumsized. Is this a normal occurrence as you get older. I am 59 and a type II diabetic but my A1c is 6.9. If I were to see a doctor, would it be a dermatologist or a urologist?

Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you get cuts on under surface of glans penis after sex

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1) Was your circumcision done in childhood or very recently?
2) Is it possible to upload photograph of your penis ?
3) Do you have any difficulty in penetration or performing sex ?
4) Is your wife in post menopausal age ?
5) Does your wife has inadequate vaginal secretions during sex?

Commonest cause of cuts is due to resulting from dry sex due to inadequate vaginal secretion due to vaginal atrophy which is common in females after menopause.

Try to have sex after proper lubrication of vagina by using lubricant jelly .

Ensure that your Diabetes is well controlled .

My wife is post menopausal. She is taking steroids for dryness and we also use coconut oil as a lubricant. She gets wet enough with foreplay the coconut oil is just extra. I was circumcised shortly after birth 58 years ago. I have no problem performing sex it is just painful after the act and the cuts appear. I have read online where other people have this problem and someone has said that a "re circumcision" need stop be done. Is that something that is actually done or was that mis information?
