What Causes Soft Mud Stool?

Question: It seems like my stool is always a soft mud form that sinks to the bottom of the toilet. I am 6'3 220lbs and workout daily. I eat healthy with plenty of fruits/vegetables'. I also take 2-4 scoops of Metamucil daily. I have been this way for at least a year now with an occasional regular tubular stool. Should I be concerned?
Brief Answer:
Seek an early medical care.
Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,
I understand your query and concern.
Soft mud stool indicates any internal bleed in the GI tract suggesting an underlying gastro intestinal disease.
So I advise you to get complete stool analysis with occult blood estimation and colonoscopy.
These tests will accurately assess the status of the intestinal tract.
Further management largely depends on the test results.
Post your further queries if any,
Thank you.
