What Causes Spotting Along With Clear Vaginal Odorless Discharge?

Question: 50 year old woman married,one sex partner only, as far as I know only one sex partner for himirregular periods,last one 6 weeks ago,one episode of dark brown discharge ,lasted less than 1 day,now about 1 week of clear odorless discharge..not urine...no pain,no itching..no trouble with intercourse..could this just be another phase of menopause
