Question : Hi there, it's my first month trying to conceive with my husband, and on the day my period was due I just had some town spotting. This brown spotting has now been going on for three days.
The first day it was just a light smear on toilet paper, nothing seen on underwear. The second day a little more, where I could see a little of it on underwear and it had a darker, slightly more red tinge. Today it's back to a light smear on toilet paper. I took a pregnancy test three days before my period was due, and on the first and second days of this spotting- all negative.
Is there a problem? I have some mood swings and a few cramps but I don't have sore breasts or urge to urinate like other websites say is symptomatic of pregnancy.
When should I see a doctor?
Thanks

                                    Brief Answer:
No
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I read your query and I understand your concerns.
Spotting you have is not pregnancy. It appears normal cycle.
Sometimes blood during menstruation is seen as dark brown sports like you described.
I don't think these are related to pregnancy.
If you still suspect pregnancy get serum beta hCG blood test done to confirm pregnancy.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
