Looks like gastritis with possible reflux.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the question.
Your symptoms are simulating gastric acidity.with possible ulcer and gastro-esophageal reflux disease. In GERD the stomach contents mostly the acid is refluxed back into esophagus, giving you feeling of nausea.
The diagnosis is usually made by symptoms and response to treatment.Other tests are esophageal acid test and endoscopy. Endoscopy may also help to rule out esophageal mucosal erosion or ulcer with additional evaluation of stomach.
The treatment is basically directed towards reducing acid production or neutralizing it.
A use of antacid like (ranitidine) can give relief within in short duration, however action last for shorter duration. Proton pump inhibitor(Prilosec) reduce acid formation and have comparatively longer duration of action.
Pro-motility drugs (metoclopramide ) can be used. They increase the pressure in the lower esophageal sphincter and strengthen the contractions of the esophagus. This will help your nausea.
Life style changes which can be extremely helpful and include - avoid spicy food, smoking, caffeine, alcohol, smoking, large meals, sleeping immediately after meal and too much stress.
Some case antibiotic treatment may be considered if h pylori infection is suspected. But dont think you need it at the moment.
Please ask if i have left any of your query unanswered or if there are any doubts.Regards
