If you are having sudden pain in your eye, please go in to the emergency room.
Sudden pain in the eye can be due to a number of things, but they should check for your eye pressure (for glaucoma) and look at your retinal blood vessels. If you live near a university hospital or other large hospital, go there, where they can call in an ophthalmologist to evaluate you. But please don't wait.
I would be happy to discuss further after you are evaluated, but I don't want you to delay being seen.
