What Causes Sudden Spike In BP And Pulse Rate Despite Taking Medication?

Question: I am currently away from my cardiologist. Christmas vacation with my family. Problem currently experiencing is a huge spike in my pulse. I am using an oximeter. Oxygen levels are 98. My usual BP is considered healthy @ 120/ 70. For some reason this evening it is spiking at over 98- 100. Normal range is low 70 for pulse. I am currently on Losartan 50 mg. With hydroclorotiazida 12.5 mg in the morning and a 10 mg Crestor each evening.
My question is - should I increase my AM space to 100 mg of Lostartan and 25 mg of the hydro? Split dosage to AM - PM? Or just try 2 pills in the morning. ????????
MEDICAL HISTORY. I am the only person in my family diagnosed with Wilson's disease -I do beverage Kaiser Fletcher rings in my eyes. It has been well managed for @ 18 years at this time with monthly liver function blood work, yearly 24 hour urine checks and zinc for leaching copper from my system. I am a 62 year old female 5'5" 145 # and physically active. Dr. Alvarez, has been my cardio doctor for 20 years. Happy with my overall health, blood workups, thyroid, EKG, cholesterol, etc. All tests are current as of Aug - Nov 2015. Family history of diabetes, congestive heart failure, and my Mother dying in perfect health at 68 - 15 years ago of an undiagnosed abdominal aorta aneuism (spelling?) has been his reasoning for the addition of the BP / Crestor medications. I take no other oral meds- OCT or otherwise. I am a very moderate drinker. This last year I have maybe consumed five glasses of merlot. And I drink at least 2 liters of clear water a day. No soda. No cafe. Herbal teas only.
Due to extreme stress related factors three years ago - my father is 92 years old and I am the primary caregiver- I have returned to daily meditations and long walks in natural settings. Dr. Alvarez has been very pleased with my overall management of an aged parent.
Since I always use your website and cannot reach my doctor until next week - I am hoping for a suggestion. I am visiting in the USA - I live fulltime in XXX XXXXXXX XXX XXXX.
Gracias for your time.XXXX XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Need more detailed information for BP and pulse

Detailed Answer:
Dear Mrs,

Try to check your pulse with your index and middle fingers. Count for a minute, pay attention if it is regular or irregular. In case it is irregular, pay attention if it is irregular during the whole minute, or only some beats. Measure your blood pressure. Do it three times in 1,5 hour and come back with results.
