Brief Answer:
Please get proper clinical examination.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for posting your query.

Your symptoms suggest that you are experiencing vaginosis. Please see your health care provider for a proper clinical evaluation. You need to get a vaginal swab to detect the cause and plan proper management.

Concomitant urinary infection is common, especially at your age. This can be excluded through urinalysis.

Do not douche or use strong soap solutions to clean the genital region. You can use mild antiseptic solutions.

If you have not attained menopause yet, please avoid using tampons during the menstrual period; use sanitary napkins instead.

Avoid tight synthetic undergarments. Use loose fitting cotton or linen clothing.

Avoid sexual intercourse if any, until you are healed well. Please do not self-medicate. Not all over-the-counter medications are meant for internal use.

For recurrent/persistent infections, it is essential that you also get blood counts and blood sugar levels.

Hope I have answered your query. Please feel free to contact for further clarifications. I will be happy to help.

regards,
Shanti.V.
