Question : We have an apt. With a primary care doctor to night ,symptoms are cough close to constant now ,feet and ankles keep swelling ,fatigue, this morning vomited breakfast,never gets sick what should i expect him to look for?what should i be asking

Hello dear. I have read the details.

The symptoms of cough and swelled up feet , fatigue. Most likely it points towards a cardiac cause. However, the thing which is alarming is recent loss of weight. Not to make you afraid, but this can be seen in variety of chronic infections including tuberculosis (along with cough), or some illnesses like malignancies. Besides that diabetes and chest infections also can produce similar picture.

One point of caution: It is really too early to comment upon depending upon your history only. Only a meticulous physical examination followed by investigation will pinpoint the diagnosis.
