                                    Brief Answer:
It might be bartholin gland infection
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Welcome to healthcare magic. I understand your concern.
In my opinion, the swelling might be due to bartholin gland infection. It will be painful when enlarged. Infection if less the gland will be small size and no symptoms. If infection is more it will be enlarged and causes symptoms like pain and discomfort. Sometimes there might be fever due to infection.
You might need a course of antibiotics for infection, so consult a gynaecologist. Nothing to worry it will subside after a course of antibiotics. Take sitz bath it will give some relief.
Hope this satisfies your query.

Can I use clindamycin gel to heal this infection?
Composition of the gel I have:
"Contains Clindamycin HCl equivalent to Clindamycin 1% w/w"
Many many thanks.

                                    Brief Answer:
it might not be useful
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,I got your query. In my opinion clindamycin might not cover the range of organisms causing bartholin gland infection. So it might not be useful. If the gland infection is mild you might need oral antibiotics. If it is large draining of pus might be required. So dont worry consult a gynaecologist for further management.Warm sitz baths are advised.Take paracetamol or ibuprofen for pain.
Hope this satisfies your query.
