Question: Have swollen neck glands, blocked eustachean tubes, and clear mucous draining in throat. Been going on for three weeks. Doctor told me to take Sudafed. Tried. Didn't work. Appetite is good, but am getting worn down by the symptoms and hearing reduction.

I recommend the following.
1) Avoid smoking as this might aggravate this condition.
2) A course of antibiotics.
3) Oral decongestant like tablet levocetrizine with phenylephrine.
4) Stop sudafed.
5) Review after antibiotic course.
