Brief Answer:
Does not seems to be necessary.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for posting your query.

First of all it is important to know what problem that your father had. It is not necessary the disease that he had is hereditary.

As far as your problems are concerned following test should help:

Blood counts
Blood Sugar
Thyroid function test

This are the basic that will help.

At present the symptoms that you have does not point directly to liver disease.

Still I will prefer that you please visit your primary care physician and get yourself examined. After examination he will be in proper position to advise necessary investigations.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Dr.Pragnesh
