What Causes Torn Urinary Meatus?

default
Posted on Mon, 15 Dec 2014
Question: hi, my meatus of my penis seems to be torn. It seems to have been torn up or dorsally. It has been about 1/4 of an inch in length for most my life until recently i noticed it is about 1/5 an inch in length. There is no pain or blood. Sometimes there is discomfort during intercourse. On urination my stream is as if it is two streams of urine. It does not look right. What can be done about this? Will it tear more? Should i be worried? Please help

Brief Answer:
Your External Meatus is slightly wider than normal.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query, based on the facts and photographs that you have posted it appears that you have external urinary meatus which is slightly wider than normal.

Normally such wider meatus does not cause any discomfort during sex or while passing urine .
It is likely that you might have mild infection of urethra (Urethritis) .

Please get your routine urine test and urine culture done to find out the organisms causing this infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to.

Please take broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefexine along with urinary antiseptic like Nitrofurantoin twice daily and urine alkaliser thrice daily.Later on switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report.

Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician.

It should get cured within a week.

Ensure to drink more water. To keep your urine dilute This will help to control dysuria.

Consult qualified Urologist for clinical examination and further treatment .

Hope I have answered your query. Please feel free to write if you have more questions I shall be happy to help you .
Thanks and Regards .
