Brief Answer:
Probable bruise.

Detailed Answer:
What you are describing sounds like you got a bruise on your breast. The area that was bruised may feel thicker or harder until the blood that leaked out into the tissue (the bruise) clears up, which it will in time. That there was a yellow spot shows that the area was bruised.

If you think you felt something other than the bruise in your breast, but can only feel it during the shower, you can try lying on your back and doing a breast self exam.

Lying on your back with a pillow under the right side of your back, and your right arm raised overhead, use the pads of the middle 3 fingers of your left hand and move up and down the breast, using both light pressure and then medium pressure to feel more deeply.

My guess is that it is the bruised area that you are feeling, but if you feel something else, then make an appointment with your doctor to have him or her check.

I hope this information is helpful to you. Please let me know if I can provide further information or clarification.
