What Causes Unilateral Breast Pain And Soreness Without Any Lumps?

Question: Hi there, I just recently finished my period about 5 days ago so I'm on day 9 of my cycle and I have had a sore breast on my left side. The pain is pretty much the whole breast (not really a localized spot) the pain is also under my arms in my armpit. Actually both armpits are sore. I saw my doctor on monday and she did a thorough breast exam and felt nothing. Should I be concerned about this pain? I don't want to run back to the doctors just for this, but I also don't want to ignore something that could be serious.

Likely mastitis

Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Unilateral breast pain and soreness without any lump is likely due to mastitis.
It is infection, and can be treated by antibiotics.
