Question : I am 46 and been in menopause for 2 1/2 years. Tonight i started bleeding again like a light period. What could be happening?

Bleeding after menopause can happen due to simple causes like infection of cervix, infection of uterus , dryness in cervix, but it can also be caused due to serious conditions like Cancer if cervix or uterus.

Hence it is recommend that you get a thorough examination done by a gynecologist and if required certain tests like paps smear and ultrasound abdomen pelvis scan done.
